Tony’s role: expert witness for Manningham City Council (the owner), also engaged and instructed by Manningham City Council.
Description: The matter involved combustible cladding installed at a three-storey community centre with two levels of basement car parking. The building hosts an art gallery, library, cafe, various community services departments and an early childhood centre. The cladding included aluminium composite panels (ACP).
Tony developed a performance solution recommending the removal of the ACP at the Ground Floor level and its retention above. He issued an expert report in December 2019. At the Board’s direction a further report was issued in June 2020. The matter was heard on the papers. The Board accepted Tony’s performance solution and the matter was determined in November 2020.
