Tony’s role: expert witness for CFT No. 3 Pty Ltd (the owner), engaged and instructed by Clayton Utz.
Description: The building is a 13 storey retail and office building. The combustible cladding comprised aluminium composite panels both with and without a fire-retardant compound in their core (ACP FR and ACP PE respectively).
Tony was instructed to provide an opinion on whether the combustible cladding was compliant. He issued an expert report in November 2020. The builder went into administration in November 2020 and the proceeding was paused indefinitely.
