Tony’s role: expert witness for Baulderstone Queensland Pty Ltd (the builder), briefed by MinterEllison.

Description: The building comprises three levels of underground car parking, a Podium building and a Tower. It has a rise in storeys of 38. The combustible cladding comprised aluminium composite panels both with and without a fire-retardant compound in their core (ACP FR and ACP PE respectively).

Tony was instructed to provide his opinion on the fire risk posed by the ACP FR and ACP PE and on the conduct of the fire engineers involved in the base-building design. He issued his expert report in February 2024 and a reply report in July 2024.
