Tony’s role: expert witness for Watpac Construction (Vic) Pty Ltd (the builder), briefed by Maddocks.
Description: The Edge Apartments has two basement parking levels, Ground Floor retail and offices, and three apartment levels above ground. The combustible cladding includes aluminium composite panels (ACP), hardwood timber cladding and Conpolcrete, which is a blend of cement and expanded polystyrene.
Tony was instructed to provide his opinion on the cause or causes of certain alleged cladding defects at this building. He issued his expert report in January 2025.
